Windows 10/11 - VPN - Use Default Gateway
To enable/disable the Use Default Gateway setting, follow these steps: -
- Click on the network icon in the task bar (bottom right-hand corner)
- Click Network and Internet Settings
- Click the Change adapter options button. That should open a new window with icons for all the different networks that have been configured
- Right-Click on the icon labelled "RichardsApex International" and select Properties. You should see the following screen: -

- Click on the Networking tab
- Click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click the Properties button. You should see this screen

- Click the Advanced button
- I can never remember which way it is, but if the "Use default gateway on remote network" is checked, uncheck it, If it is unchecked, check it.

- Click the OK buttons until you are back to the screen in Step 4.
